Farmer Albert Boxum married 27 April 1866 in municipality Ambt Vollenhove, province Overijssel, Netherlands, to Marrigje ten Napel.
In March 1870, January 1876 and January 1880 farmer Albert lives with his family in the neighborhoodship Leeuwte in the municipality Ambt Vollenhove. In May 1882 and March 1884 they live on the Kuinderdijk in the neighborhoodship Baarlo, also in mun. Ambt Vollenhove. In 1892 he is a cattle farmer.
10 October 1895 farmer Albt. Boxum (51 years aged) arrived with his wife (52) and seven children Hend. (daughter, 28), Jacob[je] (daughter, 24), Hendrik (19), Grietje (17), Albt. (14), Ane (11) and Annigje (9) on the ship The Majestic from Liverpool via Queenstown (Cobh) in Ireland at Ellis Island, New York. Their destination is Cawker City, Mitchell County, in Kansas.
In 1900 they live in Smith County, northwest of Cawker City, likely in or near Dispatch.
