Mr. John Henry Spicer, 74, of Moss Point, MS, passed away September 27, 2011 at Singing River Hospital. He was born April 3, 1937 in Dauphin Island, AL. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War. He was a 32 degree Mason with Lodge #202 in Moss Point, having served twice as master. He was a commercial fisherman for 20 years and recently retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding as a truck crane operator.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandmother Agnes Ryan Spicer, Maternal Grandfather Joe Spicer, his Mother Verna Mae Spicer Harris Green and his Sister Betty Faye Gilligan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Mary Jo Church Spicer, son Cameron Valentine Spicer, daughters; Victoria (Stephen) Valentine, Shelia (Joey) Pettey and Elizabeth (Stephen) Howard, grandchildren; B. Keith Craig Jr., Stephanie Valentine, Aaron Valentine, Heather Howard, Phillip Craig & John Conner Craig. Godson, Michael Todd Wert and Goddaughter, Michelle West, brothers; Walter (BoBo) Harris and Reginald (Ricky) Peacock. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He will be put to rest at sea.
