Dorothy A. Berger, 89, of the Sunman area passed away May 14, 2012 at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. She was born in Ripley County on June 15, 1922, she was the daughter of Joseph and Julia ( Speth ) Riehle. She married Edwin Berger on June 5, 1946 and he preceded her in death on November 17, 1999. She was a lifelong member of St Nicholas Church and a member of the Ladies Sodality. She waa a homemaker and devoted her life to farming. She loved gardening, sewing, playing cards, dancing and having a house full of family and friends.The surviving family includes her children - Norma ( Paul ) Newton of Milan, IN Mary ( Garry ) Sapp of Milan, IN Pauline ( Dale ) Rodmaker of Georgetown IN Linda ( Chet ) Jackson of Sunman, IN Chuck Berger of Milan, IN Jim ( Gretchen ) Berger of Milan, IN John ( Jina ) Berger of MIlan, IN Dan ( Sandi ) Berger of Indianapolis, IN also 23 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great, Great Grandchildren and a Sister - Alberta Tieves of Fort Wright, KY.Visitation on Wednesday, May 16 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home 107 Vine St. Sunman, IN 47041.Funeral Mass at St Nicholas Church on Thursday, May 17 and starting at 10:00 AM with burial following in St Nicholas Cemetery.Rosary prayed at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, May 16 at the Funeral Home.Memorial donations may be made to the St Nicholas New School Fund.
