The life-long resident of Bulloch County was a member of Anderson Primitive Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Agnes Denmark Flake of Brooklet; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Agnes Jarriel of Savannah, Mrs. Ella Nora Parrish of Green Cove Springs, Fla., and Miss Jane Inez Flake of Atlanta; two sons, Jesse Morgan Flake of Savannah and Delos Emerson Flake of Brooklet; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Hunnicutt of Statesboro; a brother, Lonnie Edward Flake of Statesboro; and 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Barnes-Hodges-Turner Funeral Home in Statesboro, burial in Middleground Church Cemetery.
