Mrs. Emma Brown
Emma Elizabeth Chaplin was born at Ashwell[,]Hertfordshire, England, April 30, 1852. She came to America with her parents when a child. They settled in Monroe County, New York State for a few years. She came to Michigan with her parents in 1864. They settled in Watertown, Clinton County. She has lived in and near Grand Ledge since that time. She was united in marriage to Henry Brown of Eagle on January 17, 1869. To their union was born one son Frank A. Brown, July 4, 1873. Henry Brown passed away October 1892 [sic 1893]. Frank A. Brown passed away November 1913.
The funeral will be on Sunday at 2:00 at the Smith-Hoag funeral home. Reverend Vickers will officiate.
