OBIT: William Lee Bass
Funeral services for William Lee Bass, 69, were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from Snellings Funeral Home in Portsmouth, VA. The REV. C.B. Whitlow OF Faith Center Holliness Church of Norfolk officiated. Interment was in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Bass died early Friday morning at Maryville Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Iola Timberlake Bass, six daughters: Mrs. George Boone, Mrs. Leroy Rollans, Mrs. Edward Luke, Mrs. Hezro Renfrow all of Rocky Mount, Mrs. T. N. Edwards of Nashville, Mrs. Dollie Wilson of Portsmouth, one son Curtis Bass of Portsmouth. Two brothers: Simon and Jody Bass of Spring Hope and 2 sisters: Mrs. Laura Sykes of Spring Hope and Mrs. Lula Downey of Durham.
