Calvin died of wounds received during the Meuse Argonne offensive in France. He was buried at the American cemetery #94 on October 12, 1918. Following an agreement with the French Government in 1920 to allow bodies of American soldiers buried in France to be disinterred and returned to the US, in 1921 the US began shipping bodies home for families who had requested it. Calvin was shipped home in May 1921.
He was the son of James Augustus Asquith and Sallie Brady.

Though he never appeared to use it, Calvin's first name was actually Julius, per baptismal record via Anne Arundel Genealogical Society publication, image attached.
