Frank Lamar Alewine, 71, of Chapin, died May 4, 2004, at his residence. Born in Little Mountain, he was a son of the late Boyce and Bessie Haltiwanger Alewine. Mr. Alewine was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Surviving were his wife, Retha Frick Alewine; a son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Renee Alewine of Chapin; a daughter, Vickie Alewine of Chapin; sister, Martha Ringer of Pomaria; brothers, H. B. Alewine of Rock Hill, Cecil Alewine of Pomaria and Ray Alewine of Whitmire; grandchildren, Alan Alewine, Michael Alewine and Matthew Godwin.
Burial: St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery.
