Edith H Anderson crossed peacefully through the veil, returning to our Father in Heaven on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Milford, Utah on February 9, 1925 to Charles F. Hollis and Ruby Kemp Hollis. Mom was the first of three children. She spent the first six years of her life in Milford, Utah then moved with her family to Ogden, Utah where she would spend the next several years.

She married Jack DeVaul in 1942. They had two children: Dennis D. DeVaul and Marilyn Sukauskas. Her husband died in 1945 while in the Air Force.

She the married Merlin C. Anderson on May 10, 1947 and had a daughter, Connie Lyn Gardner.

The things we will always remember about her, is that she loved to dance and being with her grandchildren was always a special time for all of them.

Mom loved her family. She loved making Quilts and made sure we all had at least one. She was a wonderful cook, and baking was one of her specialties. Her granddaughter, Kellie, took after her in the cooking department. She worked alongside her husband in the best fruits and vegetable garden and their orchard was one of the largest in the community.

Her daughter, Connie, had the privilege to take her to the St. George Temple to get her Endowments. Later our Mom; Dad, Lee Mortensen, and Connie did the temple work for her Mom, Dad, Brother and younger Sister.

Mom is survived by her Husband: Merlin Anderson; two sons: Roger Glen of Apple Valley, CA; Dennis DeVaul of St. George, UT; and two daughters: Marilyn Sukauskas of St. George, UT; and Connie Gardner of St. George, UT; she has 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces: Debbie McClure, Vanessa Juniper; and one nephew: Arthur Moulding.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff and caregivers of Rocky Mountain Care and Hospice; and especially to Dr. Fawsom, mom's nurse, Suzanne, and her CNA, Lorena, and Neal; and for all her caring neighbors, also to Scott and David of Nickle Mortuary from Delta Utah.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at the Morningside 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 879 South River Road. Viewing will be held 9:30-10:40 AM, prior to the service. Interment at the Tonaquint Cemetery at 1777 South Dixie Drive.
