Edile was the only child of Edna (Goodall) of Charlestown, Indiana and William Parker Russell, he having been born in Kentucky in about 1867.
Edile was raised by her maternal grandmother, Fanny (Daily), who was the daughter of David Wise Daily whose grandfather, Philip Daily, had removed to Indiana from Kentucky in the year of 1796 and settled at a point some two and a half miles south of Charlestown, in the then wilderness.
Edile lived in Michigan where she married Glenn F. Baker and had by him three children. During her widowhood, she married Clarence Rabbitt, and lived in Los Angeles County, California.
