Birth: Jun. 14, 1865
Death: Oct. 10, 1935

Obituary: Mrs. Mary Flatt died Thursday, October 10, 1935, at the home of her son, Will Flatt, six and a half miles north of Stroud. Mrs. Flatt was seventy years old. When she passed away, she left her husband, ten children and forty grandchildren. All were present at her funeral which was held Friday afternoon at two o'clock and the burial was in Stroud Cemetery. Rev. M. C. Crawford was the officiating minister. For fourteen years Mr. and Mrs. Flatt lived on an Indian lease six miles north of Stroud. Later they moved to their farm near Fair View, Oklahoma. In her last illness she wanted to be near her children and several weeks ago, Mr. and Mrs. Flatt returned to the old community where she spent her last days. Mrs. Flatt was the mother of ten children, all surviving: Earl Flatt, Edna Gilman, Ocie McDaniel, Roy Flatt, Ralph Flatt, Lulu Long, Arlie Earp, Will Jr., Mary Melton, Charles Flatt.
