John Thomas Burke Sr., age 79, of Manassas, died Feb. 27, 2005 at the Prince William Hospital. Born May 10, 1925 in Clifton he was the son of John and Ruth Burke. On April 7, 1945 in Fairfax, he married the former Sallie Wynkoop
Mr. Burke was the owner and operator of J & S Paving in Manassas until his retirement in 1990. He was also a former member of the Manassas Moose Lodge #1380. John was preceded in death by one son, Henry Burke, two brothers Roy and Jack Burke and one sister, Lillian Schaeffer
he was survived by one son, John T. Burke Jr. and his wife Gloa of Manassas; two daughters, Elizabeth Eppard and husband Lewis of Manassas, Barbara Jean Larkin and husband Bud of Lenoir, N.C.; one Sister Margret Burke
