He was an employee of the city of South Charleston.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Adkins.
Surviving are his father, John G. Adkins of South Charleston; brother and his wife, John R. and Chasty Adkins of South Charleston; sisters and their wives, Mary and David Egnor and Barbara and Dale VanBibber, all of South Charleston; niece, Holly Egnor; and nephews, Adorn Egnor, Dale VanBibber III, Zachary Adkins and Jared Egnor.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston, with the Rev. James Samuel officiating. Burial will follow in Adkins Cemetery, South Charleston.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
