Katherine S. Brill was born Sept. 8, 1908, in Keyser, the daughter of William V and Ruey M. (Orris) Stewart.

Mrs. Brill served the community for 44 years as a fourth grade school teacher at the Keyser Elementary School. She was a graduate of Keyser High School and a graduate and
member of the first class to receive a degree from Shep
herd College. An active member of the Keyser Presbyterian Churchm she served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. She was a past worthy matron and 63-year member of the Alkire Chapter 1O, Order of Eastern Star; Ladies Oriental Shrine, Isis Court No. 1; Women of the Moose Chapter 191; Mineral County Senior Citizens and Ladies B&O Veterans. She died on Tuesday April 3, 2001, at Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home.

Surviving are her sister, Waunetta “Tom” Mosser of Keyser; a nephew, Harrison Vance Mosser and wife, Lynn J. of Dayton, Ohio and a great niece, Anna Kristine Mosser of Dayton, Ohio.

Services were conducted at the Markwood Funeral Home on Saturday, April 7, 2001, at ll a.m with the Rev. Gary S. Eller officiating. Interment in Queens Point Cemetery, Keyser, W.Va.
