Verre Coleman was the 4th child born to Joseph Edward and Ella Lee Ackerly Coleman on Kent Island (Chester), Maryland. His mother remarried in 1900, 2 years after his father's death and the family moved to Baltimore. His first marriage was to Naomi S. Cole and had 2 daughters. Naomi is buried next to him in the Capt. Samuel Henry plot (his step father). Verre was a commission merchant and was involved with Henry Bros. and Co.(started by his step father) in importing tropical fruits to Baltimore. He died of Lobar pneumonia.
