Obituary - Dorothy G. Banister, 79, died April 16, 1996, at Liberal Good Samaritan Center. She was born July 7, 1916, at Little River, the daughter of John J. and Margaret O. Everett Donnelly. A Little River High School graduate, she attended Kansas Satate University at Manhattan for several years. A Liberal resident since 1958, moving from Hugoton, she was in retail sales at Anthony's Dobson and Sears, retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She was a member of Senior Citizens, a former member of BPW, a 4-H Leader and a member of the Soil Conservation Commission. On Nov. 1, 1936, she married Delano Banister at Little River. He survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Daryl Banister, Augusta, and Eldon Banister, Edmond, Okla; 12 grand children and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass was held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with Father Henry Hildebrandt presiding. Graveside service was in Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River.
