I worked for Mickey and her 2nd husband George Martin at the A&W for 4 years. Her daughter Linda and her husband Earl were best friends with my then husband and I. George and Mickey paid for us 4 to go to a restaurant convention at a country club in Silvis Illinois. Mickey offered to let Linda and I borrow a mink coat from her, but we thought we were too young for that sort of thing. Mickey and George were the best bosses I have ever had. Working there was like working with family. She and all of the others who have passed on before her ( her late husband George, their daughter Linda, and Bertha Allen ) are thought of and greatly missed.
