Mrs. Grace Alice Burtch, 89, of 2438 Pleasant Hill Rd. died at 5:45 a.m. today at home after a two month illness. Her husband John died in 1960.
A Marion resident for 53 years, she came here from North Vernon, Ind. She was a retired saleswoman of Uhler's Department Store.
Born Sept. 12, 1882, she was a daughter of Ephraim and Elizabeth Wright Granger. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and its United Class and Helen Hunt Circle.
Surviving are a son, Floyd of 257 Franconia Ave.; 3 daughters, Mrs. Orlo (Gladys) Mosier of the Pleasant Hill Road address, Mrs. James (Neva) Harris of 648 Marseilles-Galion Rd. and Mrs. Carl(Mary) Jordan of 231 James St.; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest Granger of Tucson, Ariz., and Alonzo of 4475 DeCliff-Big Island Rd., and a sister Mrs. Arthur (Bessie) Hein of Commiskey, Ind.
a daughter and two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Trinity Church. Rev. Herschel T. Roper will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
