Ivan Alloway Dies in Chicago-Ivan Alloway, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Alloway, was born September 14, 1895.
He departed this life May 5, in West Chicago, Ill., at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James coats.
He was united in marriage to Erma McReynolds September 21, 1921. To this union six children were born, Mrs. Opal Lester and Mrs. Iva Swisher, both of Newton, and Mrs. Imogene Coats of Chicago, Ill., two sons, Delbert of Lone Tree, and Charles of Newton. One daughter preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, five children, 14 grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Iva Christy of Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Vera Mylon, Nell Painter and Edna Sutton, all of Des Moines.
