OBITUARY--James Best, who died recently at his home, in the northern part of this county, was a nephew of Robert Best. He was born in Muskingum county, Ohio, and came to Kansas in 1866, when only a boy. He settled at the head of Eagle creek about four years ago. A man universally respected by all who knew him, and highly esteemed by his neighbors. Dying at the early age of thirty-three years? Lyon county has lost in him one of its best citizens. He left a wife and three children to mourn the loss to mourn the loss of a kind husband and indulgent father.
