Marie St. George, nee Adamski, was the the second daughter of Jan and Anna Adamczyk, who changed their surname name to Adamski before moving from New Haven, CT. to Springfield, Massachusetts. She attended local schools in Springfield and started working early in her teenage years to help support the family after the tragic death of her father in 1931. Marie, a beautiful girl, won the heart of Albert St. George, a local resident and athlete who had a tryout with the Brooklyn Dodgers as a pitcher before his enlistment in the service during World War II put an end to that dream. Upon his return, Albert took her hand in marriage and together they raised three sons, Leonard 'Lenny', the oldest; Robert 'Bob'; and Marc, the youngest. They resided in Chicopee, Massachusetts in the Willimansett section before buying a home on Vadnais St. in the Fairview section where Marie worked as a hair stylist working out of her home. Albert passed away in 1972 and Marie joined him shortly thereafter in 1975. Her sons, Leonard, Robert and Marc, and her brother Tony Adamski were fortunate enough to be able to be at her side when she passed so she was not alone. Marie was 57 years old when she died.

Marie and Albert are greatly missed by their sons, family, and many friends. May they rest in peace.
