Her greatest joys in life were her church, working in her yard, and spending time with her family. She was blessed with health and independence right up until the last few days of her life. She was saved during revival at the South Carthage Missionary Baptist Church in 1945 under the preaching of Elder Phocian Gibbs and in 1967, became a charter member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. The daughter of the late Walter and Ada Elizabeth Denton Baker, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Agee, with whom she owned and operated the Cothron and Agee Grocery Store. Also preceding her in death was her son, Billy Gene Agee; daughter-in-law, Marsha Frye Agee; and her siblings, Nelson Baker, Fred Baker, Sr., Ona Mae Stallings, Maggie Bell Dickens & Alta Marie Denney. Surviving are her daughter & son-in-law, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, & arriving soon by adoption, another great-grandson.
