(ROANOKE) Funeral services for Edith Lois Hale Brown, of Roanoke, age 80, will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bishop Michael Spires officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16.

Ms. Brown died Wednesday, Jan. 13, at LaGrange Nursing and Rehab.

Survivors include two nieces and two nephews.

Pallbearers will be Stoney Hale, Mark Hale, Calvin Worthey, Tyler Worthey and Billy Henry.

Ms. Brown was born Sept. 20, 1929, the daughter of Millard and Mattie Baldwin Hale. She was a member of Atlanta Lighthouse Church and had been a secretary for Bearden Thompson Electric Company. Ms. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Eulas and Buddy Hale; and one sister, Mary Joyce Hale.
