Bruce Edward "Ed" Airhart, son of Robert and Glenara Airhart, passed away in South Bend. He graduated from Lafayette Jeff (1965) and Purdue University.
He was an "M.P." in the Army stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas. He became a police officer and served on the West Lafayette Police Dept. later. He worked for the state board of tax commissioners (1983-2000) and then was a substitute teacher at Navara High School in South Bend before retirement.
He is survived by his sister, Marlene Airhart and nephew, Jason Edward Dempsey. Resting place is Tippecanoe Memorial Gardens in West Lafayette.
