Obituary - Courier Journal newspaper, Tuesday 7 December 1943

Charles H. Abney
Funeral services for Mr. Abney, 72, who died at 9:50 a.m. Sunday at the home of Earl W. Tharp, English Station Road, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Duncan Memorial Chapel, Floydsburg.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a retired L & N Railroad employee.
Survivors are five sons, Harry Abney, Cleveland; Bennett Abney, Navy; William Abney, Joseph Abney and Charles Abney; two brothers, Ed Abney and Will Abney, Springfield, IL and three sisters, Mrs. D. S. Lewis, Magnolia, KY; Mrs. A. J. Sporleber, Waverly, IL and Mrs. S. Dee Bodds, Springfield.
