ADAMS Reberta Lee, OKC, died Monday evening at St. Anthony Hospital following a lengthy illness. She had retired in 1973 from the Internal Revenue Service, where she had become the first woman of IRS to be named an officer. Upon her retirement, she became an active member of the National Assn. of Retired Federal Employees and of the Retired Civil Service Employees. Other interests and involvements were varied: she held a national charter membership in the Cowboy Hall of Fame; was a member of the OKC Club of Business and Professional Women and, most recently, was treasurer of the Women's Posse of the Westerns. She was an active member of the League of Women Voters; active also in the National Organization of Women; and had, during war years, worked with the Red Cross. Her membership in the United Methodist Church in OKC extended over a period of 60 years, as a member, worker and teacher of youth and young adults, and, later, as a member of the Official Board, and of Susanna, a business woman's circle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alan and Joanna Adams. Gifts in her memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church or to an organization of choice.
