Marion grew up on the family ranch near Goodlett TX and attended Texas State College for Women in Denton and West Texas State Teachers College in Canyon. She married James Albert Currie of Happy TX in 1938. They were the parents of one son, James Albert Currie, Jr. In 1975 she married James Lanier Tucker and in 1989 Robert A.B. Cummins.

Marlon Griffin Cummins, 85, of Quanah, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999. Mrs. Cummins was born June 7, 1913, in Goodlett, Texas. She and James Tucker were married March 9, 1975. He died April 1, 1983. She and A.B. Cummins were married June 30, 1989, in Altus, Okla. He died Dec. 31, 1994. She was a graduate of Quanah High School and attended Texas State College for Women at Denton. She also attended West Texas State University. She was a homemaker and a member of 1904 Club and many civic organizations. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jesse Dea officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Price-Jackson Funeral Home.
