Rites At Marion For Edwin Adams
Funeral services were held Monday for Edwin H. Adams, 64, Marion, who died about 5:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at his home following an apparent heart attack.
He was born Jan. 21, 1902, at Bear Creek. He lived in Bear Creek until 1915 when he moved to the Town of Pella. On Aug. 15, 1922, he was married to Magdaline Sousek. The couple lived at Pella until 1955 when they moved to Marion. Mr. Adams was a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Orin Adams, Plymouth; Allan Adams, Star Route, Caroline, and Robert Adams, Rt. 2, Marion; one daughter, Elaine, Mrs. Phillip Zalewski, West Allis; eighteen grandchildren; three sisters, Gusta, Mrs. Leonard Fenn, Rt. 2, Marion; Martha, Mrs. Frank Rades, Rt. 2, Marion; and Ella, Mrs. Ed Grothe, Clintonville; four stepbrothers, William Messerschmidt, Shawano; Elmer Messerschmidt, Alaska; Art Messerschmidt, Rt. 2, Marion, and Albert Messerschmidt, Rt. 3, Clintonville.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church, Marion, with the Rev. David Koehne, officiating. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery of Leopolis.
Pallbearers were Okel Hoffman, Vernon Hoffman, James Sousek, Dennis Sousek, Dwaine Rades and Kermit Adams. The Schroeder Funeral Home, Marion, was in charge of arrangements.
