Son of Friedrich Wilhelm Eifert and Mary (Pabst) Eifert. Brothers were Otto Emil and Albert, half brother Hugo Wilhelm. Otto immigrated to the United States around 1910. He sent for Richard to join him in the US however he was unable to leave the country at that time so in 1922 his half brother Hugo went in his place along with a cousin Walter Driemmel. Richard and Albert lived in Germany and never traveled to the US. When Richard was young Mary died and Fredrich married again to Hennriette (Brauer). Last I saw Richard he was 81 yrs old in 1978 and in very good health. He said he walked miles every day to keep his health good. He was a kind man and very good natured.
