Joe was retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire Co. where he worked in the mill room. He served in the Md National Guard and the 41st Signal Battalion during the Korean Conflict.
Joe was a member of St. Michael Church and the Farrady Post 24 american Legion, both of Frostburg and a charter member of the Frostburg Area Ambulance Assoc. where he served as captain in 1980.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen Stair and husband Bill, Frostburg and Susan Nightingale and husband Dan. Grandchildren, Chris Gring & wife Nikki, Dustin Nightingale & wife Jenny, and Becky Baker, all of Frostburg. Great-grandchildren, Hunter Nightingale and Hayden Gring. One brother Edward Sevinsky and wife Cordy, El Paso, Tx, one sister, Rose Sevinsky, Frostburg. Numerous nieces and nephews.
