Marceline C. (Marci) Clifford (1915-2010)

Marceline (Marci) Clifford, age 94, resident of the Rosebud Healthcare Center, Forsyth was taken home to her Lord on May 1, 2010.

Marci was born July 9, 1915 in Success, Missouri, the eldest daughter of Claren and Grace Neal. Her 3 siblings are Al Neal, Vancouver WA, Melvin (Bud) Neal, Ranchester, WY and Ann Vassau of Forsyth. Marci was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was an awesome homemaker and enjoyed opening her home to her loved ones. She had the gift of hospitality and was eager to plan parties and entertain her family and friends in her home. She enjoyed gardening and tending her roses with her loving husband Jack after his retirement. Among her other interests was her involvement with Eastern Star, Rainbow Girls, FHA Advisor, Women of the Federated Church, reading and traveling. Marci was a member of the Federated Church for over 50 years. She served as an elder of the church for 3 years.

She will be greatly missed by her family but they are comforted knowing she is free from human frailties and is home and at peace.

Marci was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 2001 and her granddaughter in-law Dr. Laura (Muggy) Clifford in 2009.

She is survived by her son Jack and his wife Shirley of Forsyth and her daughter Jan and her husband Art of San Antonio, TX. Marci had seven grandchildren, Terri (Charlie) Brown, Teena Friesz, Tom (Brenda) Clifford all of Forsyth, Todd Clifford of Basin WY, Reverend Jeff Hall and his fiancée Maria Dixon of Dallas, TX, Dr. Kristin (Paul) Axtell of Johnson City, TX and Amy (Matt) Hall Vernon of Orlando, FL; 15 great-grandchildren, Khara (Chad) Erickson of Frisco, TX, Naysa (Kaam) Jensen of Hysham, MT, Shayla Wildman of Billings, MT, Brittanee (Jerrad) Mattson of Deadwood, SD, Gina Johnson of Forsyth, MT, Shanna (Matt) Tourtlotte of Billings, MT, Julie (Andy) Clifford Eams of Lewistown, MT, Dana (Kaylynn) Clifford of Forsyth, MT, Avery & Johnna Clifford of Basin WY, Nathan, John, Michael and Daniel Axtell of Johnson City, TX, and Zachary Vernon of Orlando, FL; and 15 great-great-grandchildren, Jourdan and Aleigh Erickson, Mykaila, Laynie and Brynlee Jensen, Kaitlyn and Keagan Wildman, Raygan, Delaney, Landen and Hennesey Mattson, Eli Johnson, Olivia and Drake Tourtlotte, and Brody Clifford.

Memorials may be made to the Federated Church of Forsyth, the Rosebud County Library or a charity of your choice.

Her grandson, Jeff Hall, an ordained Methodist minister, conducted the funeral services at his grandmother Marci's request. It was truly the most remarkable service this Find-a-Grave volunteer has ever attended. Beautiful in all regards!
