Govenor Kemp Jr, passed away from Colon Cancer, at 7:45pm. He was survived by his wife Mentha. They have three children, Cindy, Brandon, and Steven. They have five grandchildren, and another one on the way. Cindy gave birth to her baby daughter Autumn at 5:30am. Mentha told Govenor that Cindy had her baby and Govenor understood what she said, as a tear rolled down his cheek. That evening, Govenor went to Heaven. We know Govenor was waiting for his little grandbaby to be born before he went on to Heaven. Govenor enjoyed alot of Blessings in his life. One of them was the vast number of friends and family who called and came to visit him while he was in the hospital. He would often cry and would say he was amazed at how many guys from work took the time to come and visit him. You see, he was a truck driver for Alpha Beta/Ralphs, and worked with my Dad. He never cursed and always polite and well mannered. He was a quiet man. He had no idea the impact he had on other peoples lives, nor did his wife Mentha. This was a Blessing the Lord shared with him. Most people go to Heaven without ever knowing the effect they had on people until after they were gone. Govenor was able to see each one of them, in a steady stream for three weeks. It touched his heart, his wifes heart, and mine as well. We had some wonderful prayer meetings in his room everynight. I know the Lord was doing wonderful work with each one of us. Govenor was a wonderful person and I will truly miss him. Tell Jesus I Love him and please give my sweet baby son David a kiss from his mommy.
You will always be in my heart!
