CROYLE - Val Terry, 76, Richland Township, died Aug. 24, 2006, at Laurel Crest Manor. Born May 2, 1930, in Brookville, son of Viola Croyle. Preceded in death by parents, and stepfather, Clair Daniels. Survived by wife, the former Patricia Kuhn, whom he married Aug. 10, 1954, and several cousins. He attended St. Benedict Catholic Church. He was a life member and past commander of VFW Post 155. Member of American Legion Post 849. He was a graduate of Clarion University, Class of 1952, with majors in special education and elementary education. He taught in the Fort Cherry School District and then most recently he taught in the Windber School District from which he retired. He was an Army veteran of the Koran War. By request there will be no public viewing. Those who wish may attend a memorial service at 1 p.m. Monday at Henderson Funeral Home, East Hills, where military rites will be conducted by Charles Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team. Interment, St. Joseph Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
