She graduated from Wagoner High School and was a lifelong Wagoner resident. She was named as Woman of the Year by the Beta Sigma Phi. Isabel was always a great cook and hard worker and a longtime member and active leader of Neodesha Home Demonstration Club. Along with her husband, Dencle, the family was named Wagoner County Farm Family of the Year. Isabel was a lifetime Deaconess of the First Christian Church where she was active in the CWF.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dencle Allen, her son, Gary Allen, her parents, four sisters, Evie Graham, Naomi Fielden, Nettie Henson and Ruth Ann Holt, six brothers, Bud Cobb, Joe Ben Cobb, Van Cobb, John Cobb, Bill Cobb and Bob Cobb and a special friend, her guardian angel, Piper Thornton.
Isabel was always there to support her children and grandchildren, being a home room mother, helping with 4-H projects of all kinds, chauffeuring to lessons of all kinds and made sure that her grandchildren were in worship whenever possible.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Janelle and Phil Mackey of Wagoner and Marilyn and Andy Dean of Edmond, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren and spouses, Shannon and Larry North of Wagoner, Gina and Steve Ozmer of Lantana, Texas, Lane and Shelley Mackey of Wagoner, Jason and Laura Dean of Edmond, Jerrod and Courtney Dean of Edmond, Michael Allen of Bloomingdale, Illinois and Michelle and Jason Beuhler of Arizona, eleven great-grandchildren, one sister, Betty Center of Wagoner, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at First Christian Church in Wagoner. Officiating will be the Reverend Michael Cobb and the Reverend Will Smith. Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner.
