Tracey Adkisson, 51, died on August 3, 2010 at home.

Tracey was born on April 17, 1959 in Creston to LaVerne and Mary Geneva Adkisson. He was an electronic technician for Iowa Health in Des Moines. Tracey had many talents including: mechanic, electronic repairman, plumber, electrician, excavator, and carpenter.

Tracey is survived by his loving wife, Marie; sons, Timothy (Rachel) and Steven (Jennifer); daughter, Melissa Adkisson (Matthew Eakes); grandchildren, Skyler, Hannah, Caleb, Ava and Ethan; mother, Mary; brothers, Gerald, Alan, Rodney, Gordon, and sister, Lori Nelson. He was preceded in death by his father, LaVerne and father-in-law, Orie Davis.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, August 7 at St. James Lutheran Church (5665 Merle Hay Road, Johnston). Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday evening at Merle Hay Funeral Home (4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines). Burial will be at Chapel Hill Gardens.
