Sadly, Katherine died on 11 Aug 1863 in Rural Bretzville, Dubois County, Indiana, 6 days following the birth of her Tenth Child. The names of their ten children are: Johannes N "John" (1841-1925); Johann Peter (1844-1924); Johann Phillipp (1846-1846); Johann Phillipp (same name as his deceased brother)(1847-1848); Valentine L (1850-1902); Jacob E "Jake" (1852-1923; Philip J (1855-1932); August (1857-1859); Katherine (1861-1861); and Catherine Elizabeth (1863-1935). Peter lived another 28 years and died on 5 Mar 1891 In Rural Bretzville, Dubois County, Indiana. Katherine is burried in the Bretzville, Cemetery, in Rural Bretzville, and Johann Peter is buried in the Fairmount Cemetery, Huntingburg, Dubois County, Indiana.
