More Light
Peter, Menard's prophet and giver of light, slipped one over on his friends last week by running off to the wilds of Missouri and in the quiet little city of Lockwood found for himself a charming bride, in Miss Minna L. Bartling. The wedding ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bartling of Lockwood, Mo. Mr. Anderegg and his bride returned home Monday, and Mr. Anderegg again assumed his duties as manager of the local light and ice company.
Mr. Anderegg's many friends immediately upon learning the glad tidings formed a serenade party and called upon the couple that night. In appreciation of the noise supplied Peter invited his friends up to the drug store where the men smoked ten cent cigars and the ladies indulged in drinks. While there the party presented the bride with a cut glass bowl and set of glasses. Frank Hartgraves made the presentation speech, 'nuff sed.
