Edward Charles Abbadusky


Edward Charles Abbadusky, age 75 of Howard, passed away on Saturday March 31, 2012 at his home in Howard, CO.


Mr. Abbadusky was born June 12, 1936 in Monmouth, IL to Forrest and Elsie (Klein) Abbadusky.


Mr. Abbadusky served his county as an Army Ranger. He served 3 tours in the Vietnam War. He earned many medals during his military career some of which are the Meritorious Service Award, 3 Bronze Stars Medal's with "V" device, 4 Air Medals, 3 Army Commendation Medals, Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantryman's Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Vietnam Technical Service Medal, Ranger Tab, Vietnamese Ranger Badge.


Mr. Abbadusky married LaDonna Sparks on April 2, 1962. After his retirement from the military, he served as the Pastor of the First Church of Nazarene in Payson, Arizona for three years. He also served as the Chaplin for the Payson Fire Department. Mr. Abbadusky was also a Deputy Sheriff in Branson, MO. He enjoyed carpentry, wood working, was a professional rock hound, was an accomplished violinist, loved fishing, camping, golf, traveling, rock climbing, and spending time with his family. He and his family also enjoyed singing together.


Mr. Abbadusky was preceded in death by his parents, brother Melvin Abbadusky and son-in-law Dayne Morgan. He is survived by his wife LaDonna Abbadusky of Howard, CO. Daughters Lori Morgan of Grand Junction, CO, Robyn Milliken of Denver, CO, brothers Art (Marge) Abbadusky of Sparrow Bush, NY, John (Beth) Abbadusky of Lyndon, IL, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.


Funeral Services are set for 2:00 PM Wednesday April 4, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Salida. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Friends who desire may make memorial contributions to the family of Edward Abbadusky through Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home.
