Mrs. Elizabeth Baldus, 74, of Bunkum Road, Caseyville Township, died at her home at 9:15 o'clock this morning after an illness of five months.

Mrs. Baldus was born in Madison County, August 20, 1860, a daughter of John and Catherine Malter, nee Schmidt. She was married to George Baldus in Caseyville Township, February 28, 1880. He survives.

She leaves three sons and five daughters;

Albert Baldus, of East St. Louis
Kate, wife of Louis Eversman, E.St. Louis
Josephine, Mrs. Henry Eversman, Edgemont
Mabel, wife of Fred Kambrink, Caseyville Twp
Hilda, wife of William Schaperkoetter, O'Fallon
Ella, wife of Leroy Randle, Caseyville

... a brother, George Malter of Oklahoma and 19 grandchildren. A son, George Baldus, preceded her in death.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed. The funeral will be held from the residence to Caseyville Cemetery. The body will be taken to the residence from the Gundlach Funeral Chapel tomorrow morning.
