Funeral services for Ernest "E.C" Arrington, age 85, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2014 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Calvin Gould and Rev. Don Copeland officiating. Interment will be at Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville.

Mr. Arrington passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 in Tyler.

He was born April 10, 1929 in Jacksonville to William Frazier and Mattie Arrington.

Ernest was a member of Beall Chapel Church in Jacksonville. He founded Arrington Lumber and Pallet in Jacksonville and retired in 2000. He also owned and operated Jacksonville Antique Mall with his wife Geri. A lifetime sportsman Ernest love to fish, play guitar, and going to Antique car shows.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Geri Arrington in 2002; parents; four brothers, Floyd, Walter "Buddy", Frazier Arnold, and Carlton H. Arrington; and five sisters, Estelle Arrington, Marguerite Arrington, Geneva Watson, Nena Vansickle, and Sissy Wilcox.

Survivors include his wife, Janie Arnold Arrington; son, Eddie Arrington and wife Sharon, daughter, Karen Duty and husband Bruce; four grandchildren; Kyle Arrington, Katie Bryant, Jonathan and Christopher Duty; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Gibson, Don McGee, Dale Spraggins, Robbie Stewart, Robert and Ryan Sadler.
Honorary pallbearer will be L.H. Holcomb.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, December 7, 2014 with family receiving friends from 4 to 6p.m. at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
