Jewell Allee, 95, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, with David Veasey of Amarillo Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville with Dr. Bruce Webb of Central Baptist Church of Jacksonville officiating.
Mrs. Allee was born Oct. 20, 1909, in VanZandt County to Lee and Lula Huddleston. She grew up around Jacksonville with nine brothers and sisters. She married Floyd E. Lovelady in 1926 and he preceded her in death in 1933. She then married C.T. Allee in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1968. She has outlived her whole family.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and a son, Floyd E. Lovelady in 1987.
Survivors include a son, Berl Lovelady and wife, Inse, of Tyler; two daughters, Dorothy Walls and husband, James, of Amarillo and Claudine Mellinger and husband, Wayne, of Jacksonville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to Amarillo Baptist Church, 90 McMasters St., Amarillo, TX 79107; or Odyssey Healthcare, 1000 S. Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
