ADAMS – George M. III “Butch,” 57, Davidsville, died Dec. 10, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Jan. 13, 1955, in Johnstown, son of George M. Jr. and Alice M. (Pickerill) Adams. Preceded in death by mother; father-in-law, Chet Michael; and nephew, Daniel. Survived by father; wife of 40 years, the former Connie Michael; and children, Eric, married to Tara (Porter), Johnstown; Jennifer Tomlinson, Idaho; and George IV, married to Lisa (Harris), Virginia. Also survived by grandchildren, Trevor and Tessa Adams, Josi and Gavin Tomlinson and Quentin and Tristin Adams. Brother of Rick, married to Mary Beth (Kane), Erie; Kathie, married to David Dudek, Virginia; and Bob, married to Laurie (Schnabel); Greensburg. Also survived by many nieces and nephews; and mother-in-law, Elsie Michael. Butch went to Conemaugh Township High School before transferring to Vo-Tech, where he graduated in 1972. Member of Local 910 and was working for Nevin Stitzer Co. He had previously worked for the original Berkebile Brothers Co. He will be missed for all his volunteer work and great craftsmanship of all types of masonry, carpentry, roofing and those ditches he dug. He loved to keep busy. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, Pastor Guy Myers, officiating. Interment, Maple Spring Cemetery.
