When Fanny Ann Myers was a young child her parents joined a wagon train to head west. As they were traveling through Stark Co.,OH, Fanny Ann was stricken with a fever, from which her parents did not expect her to recover. They left her there since it was impossible to hold up the entire wagon train and her family was committed to depart. Despite efforts to locate her parents they were never heard from again. It was assumed that the wagon train had been wiped out by Indians.
