Susan Smurr Ball was the Daughter of George E. and Anna Smurr. She married David C. Ball in Nov. 1847 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. To this union nine children were born: David M., Emily "Emma" Jane, Harvey Lewis., Julia Ann, George Franklin, David Calvin, Jo Lane, Albert E., Richard G. Ball.

Susan married the second time to Lafeyette May on 1 Sep 1875 in Clackamas Co., Oregon. Divorced 7 Dec 1875.

Obituary, "Oregon City Morning Enterprise" June 28, 1917.
MULINO - Word was received Tuesday morning telling of the death of Grandma Ball, whose home is in Colton. Grandma has been an invalid for a number of years. She was almost ninety years old. Until she became an invalid she led an active and useful life. The remains will be interred in the Graham cemetery at Carus. She leaves several sons, daughters and grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren, and also ten great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. August Erickson is a granddaughter. Grandma Ball was a familiar figure at the Spiritualist camp meetings, which are held at their camp ground at New Era until she became unable to attend them. Both stranger and friend always received a hearty welcome at her tent during the encampment.

The Sexton doesn't have record of Susan being buried here. Both her death certificate and her obituary state that she is buried here. It's still a question, but I wanted to have a memorial page for her.
