He was united in marriage to Ruth Schroeder on Saturday; April 17, 1937 in Davenport. Mr. Adrian had owned and operated the former Adrian Transfer for many years until his retirement. Ward Louis Adrian, 91, a former resident of Davenport and Alamo, Texas passed away on Wednesday; December 6, 2006 at the home of his daughter and son-in-laws, Judy and Blaine Arnold in Blue Grass; Scott County, Iowa. Those left to mourn his passing are his daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Blaine Arnold, Blue Grass, Iowa and Linda and Don Kracker, Sarasota; Sarasota County, Florida. Four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, his brother and sister-in-law, Wayne Joseph and Helen Adrian, Wilmington; New Hanover County, North Carolina; and a very special and dear friend, Margaret Ruffino. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Erin Fitzpatrick and a brother, Erwin Francis Adrian. May they rest in peace.
