CONCORD -- Mrs. Long, 44, of 117 Spencer Avenue NW, Concord, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at CMC NorthEast.
She was born on November 22, 1965 in Cabarrus County to Webster and Mary Alice Ballard Love, of Concord, NC.
A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Wednesday, September 1 from 11:30 until 1:30. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Adam Furr and Rev. Bob Lovette officiating. Burial will be at New Testament Independent Freewill Baptist Church cemetery in Kannapolis. The family meeting place will be at the home of the parents at 169 Spencer Avenue NW in Concord.
Myra was a delivery driver for CARQUEST Auto Parts. She also worked at Love Motor's as a secretary. She was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, class of 1984. She was very loving to her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy Long of the home; sons, Bryan and Daniel Long, of Concord, NC; brothers, Wesley Love, Richard Love, and Jamie Cooper, all of Concord; sisters, Alicia Hammel, of Concord and Lesli Salley, of North Myrtle Beach, SC; grandson, David Franklin Lee Long and granddaughter, Marie Lynette Long.
