Pauline was the wife of Arthur Wellington Brumfield (1/17/1900 - 1/21/1978) of Huntington WV.
Pauline lived in Huntington WV when I knew her and would travel to New Mexico to visit her brother and other family. Pauline was married first to an Adkins who died trying to rescue someone in the 1937 flood in Huntington, WV. She then married my great-uncle Arthur Wellington Brumfield. He was known as "Hickory" or "Brother" around Huntington. They lived in a house on the site of the old Brumfield homeplace in Wayne County, West Virginia, just across the road from his sister (my grandmother, my mom's mother). Pauline could cook circles around anyone, as well as hand-sew beautiful quilts and other things. We loved her and she will be missed.
