Daughter of Ebenezer Kemp and Mary Bradstreet.

Sarah had a proven brother, William Kemp, who served in the American Revolution in the 5th Regiment of the Massachusetts Continental Army. Sarah was declard William's heir at law and she and Amos were awarded William's Revolutionary bounty land in 1818.
