Mr. Davis was born in Knoxville, Tenn., where he spent the early years of his life. He moved to Laurens County 43 years ago. He was a member of the Christian Church.
Funeral services were held at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Rev. R. W. Eubanks officiating. Burial to follow the in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, who was Miss Rebekah G. Myers and a son by a former marriage, C.L. Davis of Tampa, Fla.
