MT. PLEASANT - Mrs. Elizabeth Broome Arms, 63, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, March 1, 1994, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Services will be 1 pm Saturday at St. James U.P. Baptist Church on Bluegrass Avenue.
Burial will be in Hunter Cemetery.
Visitation will be 7-8 pm today at Chavers Funeral Home Chapel.
A native of Maury County, she was the daughter of Mrs. Hattie Pillow of Columbia and the late Van Tarkinton. She was married to the late Edgar Arms Jr. She attended Maury County schools.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include four sons: Edgar James (Lydia) Arms, Charlie Gaylon (Velma) Arms, Waymon (Patricia) Arms, and Eric L. (Georgia) Arms, all of Mt. Pleasant; daughters Mrs. Warnella (George) Bullock and Mrs. Lena (Charles) Armstrong, both of Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. Mary (Tracy) Neal of Hermitage; brothers Clarence (Mary Jean) Pillow and Mitchell (Earnestine) Goff, both of Columbia, and Seth (Erma) Tarkinton of Nashville; 31 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be John Armstrong, Alfred Webster, Willie Thompson, Chuckie Brown, Gene Claybourne, Milton Knowles, Bruce Stevenson, Michael Witherspoon and Jeff Cathey.
